Synthesis and characterization of a smart polymer-coated core–shell MnFe2O4@ organometallic framework for targeted drug delivery

Abstract Scientists are currently working to develop more effective and less harmful methods of delivering drugs tissue. One method is use a special type carrier help the drug get right place in body. In this study, an organometallic framework nanocarrier with formula IRMOF-3 [Zn 4 O(NH 2 -BDC) 3 ] was successfully prepared, containing magnetic nanoparticles manganese ferrite (MnFe O ) doxorubicin encapsulated pH- temperature-sensitive smart polymer poly- N -isopropylacrylamide. Doxorubicin, anticancer drug, loaded into pores modified poly( -isopropylacrylamide- co -AA), which has lower critical solution temperature (LCST) than 38 °C. The synthesis frameworks investigated using various analytical techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, thermal stability analysis, BET, VSM. particles synthesized uniform size, have high properties, thermally stable. surface area 7.26 m /g, pore volume 166.394 m. ability load up 78% solution. highest release observed when pH 5 higher LCST. 71% cancer cells were destroyed by culture medium. This nanosystem, designed retention, reduced side effects controlled different conditions, suitable delivery system.
